Just as you take out the garbage regularly, clean out your room or house or take your car in to get a 'tune up' or a warrant of fitness, we also operate better if we do a similar thing with our mental wellbeing. By removing old blocks, bad habits or self limiting beliefs we are able to operate more efficiently and constructively, therefore we are more likely to achieve our goals and reach our true potential.
Some of our thoughts and beliefs are based on expectations and our social conditioning. Many of these limiting thoughts and ideas are not in line with our own experiences, and vice versa. Often we hold on to these beliefs because we think they are 'the norm.' The difference between our conditioning, our experience and society's expectations can create confusion and even inner conflict. Hypnotherapy is about rebalancing our beliefs and thoughts, reducing self limiting beliefs and negative behaviours and working towards your goals.

The subconscious mind is always at work but we are often unaware of it. This part of the mind contains our self-limiting beliefs as well as our true aspirations, intuition and mental drive.

The mind and body connection is inseparable. For example; You cannot have an injury or illness with out it affecting your mind, you may feel lethargic, depressed, resentful, emotional or experience other negative thoughts and feelings. These thoughts and feelings affect the rate at which you recover, the physical condition that you are experiencing and even the way you interact with others.
Just like a clogged fuel filter affects the quality and the amount of fuel your car engine receives, thoughts and emotions will affect the operation of your mind and your body. Life seems to be becoming more complicated and sometimes more stressful and many of life's changes are out of our control. One thing that we can change is ourselves. We can change our how we manage ourselves, how we cope, our perception, our thoughts, our attitudes and how we experience the world. Hypnotherapy can help you make those changes.
Hypnotherapy has a Counselling and Psychology base, it combines a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches with modern counselling techniques. Hypnosis is then utilized as a tool to assist in changing the way we think and the way we behave by making changes at a sub concious level. Hypnosis deals directly with the subconscious mind. The conscious mind is in use during most of our activities, but the subconscious part of the mind contains our habits, fundamental beliefs and convictions and these habits and beliefs shape our behaviours.
During consultations the client and Hypnotherapist discuss the client’s needs and work together creating a treatment plan that implements positive changes in the client’s thoughts and behaviours. Habits, goals, blocks or behaviours to be changed are discussed. Modern counselling and psychology techniques are used to help make changes at a conscious level then hypnosis is used to make changes at a deeper, subconscious level.
Clients are not under the control of the Hypnotherapist as the ability to go into hypnosis is purely your own, the Hypnotherapist is simply facilitating the experience.
During hypnosis, the Hypnotherapist talks directly to your sub-conscious mind approaching those thoughts and beliefs that are limiting you or stopping you from being who you really want to be. Those limiting beliefs are then replaced with more constructive and beneficial ones.
Hypnotherapy is a non-invasive, natural health alternative that can only compliment any other treatments. Through Hypnotherapy you are shown tools to help you adjust your behaviours, be independent and have more control over your thoughts and behaviours in the future.
